If you have an LG Dryer Model# DLEX8000W that is giving you the error codes D90 or D80, it is a sign that the duct system on the dryer or in the wall is blocked by lint or some other obstruction and is not allowing air to flow properly thus preventing the dryer from doing it’s job correctly.
You see, to do it’s job correctly a dryer must have the proper amount of heat as well as air flow. If either one of the components is not adequate your dryer will have a hard time drying clothes properly.
Normally what I do is to check the air flow from the outside in. I find the vent cover where the dryer air is expelled, start the dryer and check to see if I’m getting the proper amount of air.
This is usually the source of the problem because the lint traps on dryers don’t get all the lint and it normally accumulates on the mesh guards that most vents have to keep rodents or other pests from getting in your dryer vent. I have seen cases where birds would build their nests in ducts that were left unguarded.
