After another remote landlord not paying their service charge, I’ve instituted a new policy for these POS clients. If you’re a landlord and you can’t meet me at the location to pay for your service call, you will have to pay in advance. I’ve even added a Paypal button to my site to make that as easy as possible. I’m wondering what my new Prepay Policy will do for business, I’m guessing the only thing I’ll lose are the shithooks who wouldn’t pay me anyway.

Don’t waste your time with Remote Landlords, make them pay up front.

Prepayment policies require homeowners to pay for the repair in full before the technician arrives on site. While this may seem like an inconvenience for the homeowner, it provides several benefits for both the homeowner and the technician.

First and foremost, prepayment policies help to protect the technician’s time and resources. Technicians who service remote areas often have to travel long distances to reach their customers, which can be time-consuming and expensive.

By requiring prepayment, the technician can be assured that they will be compensated for their time and effort, regardless of the outcome of the repair. This helps to ensure that the technician can continue to provide their services to remote homeowners and maintain their business in the long term.

Secondly, prepayment policies can help to reduce the risk of non-payment or delayed payment for the technician. Because remote homeowners are often more difficult to reach and have less access to local services, it can be challenging for technicians to collect payment after the fact. Requiring prepayment eliminates the need for follow-up billing or collections, which can be time-consuming and costly for both parties.

Finally, prepayment policies can provide peace of mind for the homeowner, knowing that they will not be surprised by unexpected costs or fees.

By paying in advance, the homeowner can be assured that the technician will arrive on time, provide quality service, and that there will be no additional expenses beyond the pre-agreed amount.

In conclusion, prepayment policies for remote homeowners can provide significant benefits for both the homeowner and the technician. These policies help to ensure that technicians can continue to provide services to remote areas, reduce the risk of non-payment or delayed payment, and provide peace of mind to the homeowner.

As a remote homeowner, it is important to consider the value of prepayment policies when seeking appliance repair services. By doing so, you can ensure that you receive timely and reliable service, and that your appliances are repaired quickly and effectively.
